Circadian Risk is always working on feature updates and improvements for our security assessment software to ensure that the experience while conducting an assessment with the Circadian Risk tool is efficient, effective, and intuitive. Below are the new features in our latest software update for June 2021.

Features in the June 2021 Edition:

Scenario Based Assessments

The Circadian Risk tool is now set up to conduct scenario risk assessments. When in the Circadian tool, an assessor can now create different scenarios, such as a threat like an aggressive assailant - or a compliance scenario, such as C-TPAT. Assessors will then be able to conduct an assessment that is focused on countermeasures and policies that are applicable to that specific scenario. If you would like assistance learning how to set up scenarios, please contact support@circadianrisk.com

Calculating Inherent Risk for Scenarios

We know that prioritizing locations at your organization are important. With inherent risk, assessors will now have the ability to conduct inherent risk assessments for the scenarios and identify the locations that have the highest inherent risk associated with them, based on different probability and severity factors that are completely customizable in our system!

The New “Perform Assessment” Experience

“Teardrop” Item Logos

Instead of having a circular icon to place where items are located on the map, there are now “teardrop” shaped item logos, with a tip on the bottom to pinpoint exactly where an item is located.

Location and Questionnaire/Inspection Navigation

When going through the assessment, you will now see on the left side all the pertinent location nodes that are required to be assessed by you, the assessor. At a glance, each location node will be accentuated in black text to inform the assessor where their efforts need to be focused. With this, we have added a circular button with an arrow to take the assessor straight into the assessment form. Whether it's an inspection questionnaire, or a physical inspection, the system will direct the assessor exactly where and what information they need to assess.

Auto-Filling “Not Applicable” or “Deficient” for Inspection Questionnaire Items

Let’s face it… One facility in an organization is never going to be the exact same as another. However, with Circadian Risk’s customizable risk assessment templates, assessors can be pointed in the right direction about what items/counter measures they need to assess. But what if an item in your template is completely absent at the facility you are assessing? Assessors will now have the ability to mark an item as not present, and then indicate whether or not that item is not applicable (N/A), which will mark all questions as N/A, or deficient, if that item is needing implementation to harden the security posture at the facility.

Assessment Progress Indicators

When going through either the inspection questionnaire, or the physical inspection, there is now a progress indicator to allow the assessor to know the progress they are making on their assessment. For each question that is answered during the assessment, the progress indicator will fill in the circle more, tick by tick. Once the respective portion of the assessment has been fully completed, a green check mark will populate for that location node. Now, there is no guessing about the work that an assessor needs to complete in the assessment!

Split-Screen View for Item Investigation and Map

When interacting with items placed on the map, the item details and questions will shift to the right portion of the screen, while keeping the map open on the left and highlighting the item you are currently looking at.

Floor Plan Reset View Button

We’re sure everyone has had their unlocked phone cause some trouble for them while in their pocket. Sometimes, while moving around the iPad, we might lose where we are on the map and are unable to get back to it! For this reason, we’ve included a reset map view right under the map button to bring you right back to home base while conducting the physical inspection!

Item Category Search

Assessors will now have the ability to directly search for an item category from within the “perform assessment” experience. If there is an extensive list of items for the assessment, or would like to find the item directly, there is a search box located above the items that are available for assessment.

“Flagged” Question Filtering

Want to make sure that the questions an assessor has flagged during an assessment will not go unreviewed? Now an assessor can! By hitting the flag at the top of the item categories list in an assessment, the toll will now filter to see the item categories that have flagged questions within them, so there is no guessing as to what was needing to be reviewed for flagged questions.

Unanswered Question Filtering

Similar to filtering “flagged” questions, assessors will now also have the ability to filter item categories that contain unanswered questions. If there are outstanding questions the assessor may have missed, or wanted to come back to during the assessment, they’ll know exactly what categories that are still requiring to be answered, and complete the assessment!
